Spirometrics’ Warranties and Return Policy


What is covered by these warranties?


The following warranties cover defects in materials and workmanship in our SpiroFlow peak flow meters, calibration syringes, and repair service:

Spirometrics’ SpiroFlow or Syringe 1-year warranty: During the warranty period, a SpiroFlow peak flow meter or Calibration Syringe returned to us that proves to be defective in materials or workmanship will be repaired or replaced, at our discretion. The limited hardware warranty period begins on the date of the packing slip, invoice, or receipt.

Spirometrics’ repair service 6-month warranty: Spirometrics guarantees all parts and labor applied to non-warranty repairs to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of six months. The repair warranty period begins on the date of the original invoice for repair.


What do I do if I need warranty service?


Before the warranty period expires, please contact us at one of the phone numbers below. Please have your receipt with date of purchase or repair invoice and Spirometrics serial number available (if it applies).

What will Spirometrics do?


When you contact us by phone, email, or website, we will issue either a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number or a Return Authorization (RA) number for you to include with your return as follows:

  • If your item has a lot or serial number, the Technical Department will issue the Return Material Authorization number (RMA).
  • If your item does not have a lot or serial number, then Customer Service will issue the Return Authorization number (RA).

You must return the products to us in their original or equivalent packaging, prepay shipping charges, and insure the shipment or accept the risk if the product is lost or damaged in shipment. Our address for return is:

Be sure to write the RMA or RA number on the box and include the PO box number if using parcel post.

  • If we determine that the problem is covered by our 1 year limited hardware warranty, we will repair or replace the product with an equivalent product, at our discretion. We will return the repaired or replacement product to you and pay for return shipping if you use an address in the United States (excluding Puerto Rico and U.S. possessions and territories). Otherwise, we will ship the product to you freight collect. Repaired or replacement products are covered for the remainder of the warranty period for the original purchased product. The original warranty period is not extended due to repair or replacement.
  • If we determine that the problem is covered by our 6 month repair service warranty, we will repair the product and pay for return shipping if you use an address in the United States (excluding Puerto Rico and U.S. possessions and territories). Otherwise, we will ship the product to you freight collect.
  • If we determine that the problem is not covered by our warranties, we will notify you and inform you of service alternatives that are available to you on a fee basis.
THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE (OR JURISDICTION TO JURISDICTION). SPIROMETRICS’ RESPONSIBILITY FOR MALFUNCTIONS AND DEFECTS IN HARDWARE IS LIMITED TO REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT AS SET FORTH IN THIS WARRANTY STATEMENT. ALL EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES FOR THE PRODUCT ARE LIMITED IN TIME TO THE TERM OF THE WARRANTY PERIOD REFLECTED ON YOUR PACKING SLIP OR INVOICE. NO WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WILL APPLY AFTER THE WARRANTY PERIOD HAS EXPIRED. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THIS LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT LIABILITY BEYOND THE REMEDIES PROVIDED FOR IN THIS WARRANTY OR FOR SPECIAL, INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY LIABILITY FOR THIRD-PARTY CLAIMS AGAINST YOU FOR DAMAGES, FOR PRODUCTS NOT BEING AVAILABLE FOR USE. OUR LIABILITY WILL BE NO MORE THAN THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE PRODUCT THAT IS THE SUBJECT OF A CLAIM. THIS IS THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT FOR WHICH WE ARE RESPONSIBLE. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
